Brian James founder of the Damned and composer of UK’s first ‘Proper Punk’ single gives the landmark song the 2006 re working 30 years on. Brian also released his first solo album in 12 years in the autumn of 2006 which includes a duet with Poly Styrene (of X- Ray Spex fame)
Brian & Rat Scabies performed a one off show at London’s 100 Club on July 6th , the 30th anniversary of the Damned s first ever gig. The Brian James Gang played many gigs in support of the release. ’New Rose’ and ‘Method to my Madness’ (originally performed by the Lords of the New Church of which Brian was a former member along with Stiv Bator) will only be available on this Extended Play CD.
• The CD is housed in a deluxe package for this limited anniversary release and designed by Graham Humphries, who designed all the Lords of the New Church album sleeves
• Three of the four songs featured are exclusive to this E.P with the bonus of a 40 minute interview for the Damned fan club recorded earlier this year
